Copies of our conference handout booklets are available again.  We can send them to you for five dollars to cover the expense of shipping and printing. Contact us for more information.

We have gotten many requests to post portions of the syllabus on this website.

One of the "practice updates" (summer 2003) dealt with the on-going research comparing room air to oxygen for resuscitation of asphyxiated newborns. This is a fierce controversy in research circles and the conclusions directly affect all midwives.

We've had so many requests to post our handouts on this site that we are adding a separate webpage for this (titled simply "our handouts page"). We'll try to keep it current, adding to the list as we accumulate conferences and topics; but it may take us some time to catch up with past conferences.

I'll start out today with my handout on "Bloodwork in Pregnancy" -- from the recent MANA convention (Boston October 2002).
"Is oxygen the best thing?" is from the august 2002 Midwifery Updates, portland conference.
